We are proud to welcome ETH professor of Dynamic Systems and Control Raffaello D’Andrea to our Kick Off Event this semester.
As an inventor, Prof. D’Andrea explores the capabilities of autonomous systems combining the academics, business and the art. His company Kiva Systems was sold to Amazon for 775M USD and his creations have been exhibited in various international venues.

Additionally, Kaspar Etter, graduate of ETH Zurich in Computer Science and former president of the ETH Entrepreneur Club, will talk about the ethical implications of autonomous systems and advanced artificial intelligence. Besides starting his own company, he's involved with the humanist think tank GBS Switzerland, which also brought him in close contact with researchers of the Future of Humanity Institute at the University of Oxford and the Machine Intelligence Research Institute in Berkeley.
Join us in hearing the visionaries making us rethink what role technology should have in shaping our future.
If you have a specific question you would like Raffaello D'Andrea to talk about, shoot us a message via facebook and we will try our best to get him cover the topic.
The event is public, and will be followed by an apero in the main building.
